School looked fantastic on Thursday to set the scene for all the children and staff to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. Everyone in school had a truly memorable day as we remembered this incredibly important day in our history. The children loved having a street party for their lunch, exploring and playing typical war time games, designing a momento keepsake of this special anniversary but the highlight of the day was undoubtedly, having a 1944 troop carrier parked in our playground! This made the stories shared very real for the children. Huge thank you to grandparent John McKibbin for making this possible.
